The Cotton Quilters met on our regular first Monday of the month. Since it's October, president Margaret Ducote asked that everyone bring in their fall/Halloween themed quilts. Apparently I'm one in the minority since I have only one of those made years ago. Here are a few of them:

How about getting to the CQG meeting's Show and Share before the week is out? A miracle from Mary! I'm actually quite proud of myself. The photos below are quilts, quilt tops, and charity quilts, with the exception of my own shares. I'll tell you about those later. Some things need finishing.
The Cotton Quilters' Guild had such a great time last year on our sewing room tour that we put another one together this year. It's an easy event that is great fun. We went to four homes this time since five was a push last year.
It was an easy jaunt to Longbridge and Ingrid's place. This little cottage is filled to the brim ... read more
Welcome to the February meeting! We have lots going on. I have no idea how Maggie managed to get all this into one meeting. It was definitely fun! We started off by taking care of the business end of things but soon moved on to our January challenge. Each member got to choose a magazine from a couple of stacks that were passed around. Then we were told to turn to page 44. I'm calling it the Page 44 Challenge. Just because, there doesn't seem to be another title. On page 44 we were to find something that ...

As you can see from this photo, I was a bit discombobulated by my work. I kept at it, but while there was something I liked, there was more I didn't like. People kept telling me it was good. That was nice, honestly, but I have to be happy from the inside. So I decided to put the whole thing on the design wall when I got home.

Ingrid comes in with beautiful, traditional items every month.
Another stunner by Cleo.

We're in a new year it seems, so it's time to look back. I'll look forward in a day or so, but I need time to process last year. So much has happened, two new babies in the family, the loss of Richard's dad, my hospital stay and surgery.

Still, as it turns out, I've been quite busy in my little world.

I am not keeping up with my crazy life. Here's a quick catch-up of the happenings since our return from Disney, starting with a fam photo (above) of the one day that we wore our WDW shirts, which I made using the Silhouette and heat press.
Two days after Disney, we held the Cotton Quilter's Guild Christmas party. As Madam President, I was in charge one last time, but Margaret (our incoming pres) was generous enough to take care of the food and details. Thanks, Maggie!

It's November 2019 already and my presidency has come to an end. We'll meet one more time in December for our annual Christmas party, and that's it. We elected new officers who will take over in January. It's been fun and a barrel of laughs but also time consuming. I'll appreciate just showing up at meetings with my quilts.
Pam showed the goodies she bought at Quilt Fest in Houston. There were several things along with the Farm Girl Vintage 2 book and fabric. |
